Dr. Vijay K. Mishra, Executive Vice Chairman of the India China Trade Centre (ICTC) and Chairman of the India China Technology Transfer Centre (ICTTC), held a series of important meetings in Beijing with senior representatives of the Embassy of India and leading Chinese trade and industry institutions to strengthen India–China trade, investment, technology transfer and industry-to-industry cooperation.
During his meeting with Ms. Shweta Singh, Minister (T&C, Press & Visa), Embassy of India, Dr. Mishra discussed priority sectors, emerging business opportunities, technology partnerships, institutional linkages and support for future ICTC business delegations, B2B engagements and sector-focused programmes. The discussion also covered the importance of strengthening alternative dispute resolution mechanisms to facilitate greater business confidence.
Dr. Mishra also met Mr. Guo Kuilong, Secretary General, China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME). Discussions focused on reciprocal business delegations, sector-specific B2B meetings, market access, manufacturing partnerships, technology transfer, localisation and investment cooperation, particularly across machinery, electronics, advanced manufacturing and industrial technology.
In another important meeting, Dr. Mishra met Mr. Yu Yanzhong, Secretary General, China International Cooperation Centre for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (CICCSME) and China Enterprise Think Tank. The two sides discussed strengthening their longstanding institutional relationship through B2B engagement, industry cooperation, technology partnerships, business delegations and knowledge exchange, with a focus on creating practical and mutually beneficial opportunities for enterprises.
Dr. Mishra further met Mr. Liu Zhonghui, Vice Chairman, China Chamber of Commerce of Metals, Minerals & Chemicals Importers & Exporters (CCCMC). The meeting focused on reinvigorating industry-to-industry engagement, trade, investment and technology cooperation. Discussions included business delegations, B2B meetings, company visits, business matchmaking and knowledge exchange. Dr. Mishra particularly invited CCCMC to lead a business delegation to India, with ICTC offering to facilitate meetings with Indian companies, industry associations and potential business partners.
Across these engagements, Dr. Mishra highlighted ICTC’s role in facilitating business delegations, B2B meetings, company visits, technology partnerships, investment linkages and institutional cooperation, while ICTTC continues to support industry-to-industry collaboration in emerging and strategic technology sectors.
The meetings reflect ICTC’s continued efforts to build a stronger institutional ecosystem for India–China economic cooperation and to convert dialogue into concrete business opportunities, technology partnerships, investment linkages and stronger industry-to-industry engagement between enterprises and institutions of both countries.
