Dr. Vijay K. Mishra, Chairman, India China Technology Transfer Centre (ICTTC) and Executive Vice Chairman, India China Trade Centre (ICTC), addressed the 2026 BRICS Technology Transfer Cooperation Conference in Beijing, sharing insights on India’s market opportunities and technology transfer policy.
In his address, Dr. Mishra highlighted the growing potential for India–China technology partnerships, emphasising the need to move beyond traditional trade towards deeper cooperation in technology, innovation, investment and industrial collaboration.
Speaking on “India Market Opportunities & Technology Transfer Policy – India & China: From Trade to Technology Partnership,” Dr. Mishra outlined the opportunities available for international technology companies and startups seeking to enter the Indian market and develop local partnerships.
He emphasised India’s expanding market, growing manufacturing capabilities and increasing demand for advanced technologies, while highlighting technology transfer, localisation, joint ventures, manufacturing partnerships and industry-to-industry cooperation as important pathways for sustainable business engagement.
Dr. Mishra also underlined the role of institutional platforms such as ICTC and ICTTC in connecting Indian and Chinese enterprises, facilitating business delegations and B2B engagements, and supporting technology partnerships between companies and institutions.
The address provided Chinese technology companies and startups with a practical perspective on India’s business environment, market opportunities and avenues for technology cooperation, reinforcing the potential for stronger India–China collaboration in emerging and strategic technology sectors.
The conference engagement further strengthened ICTC and ICTTC’s commitment to promoting technology-led economic cooperation and practical industry-to-industry partnerships between India and China.
