Beijing, China | 26 August 2026
Dr. Vijay K. Mishra, Executive Vice Chairman of the India China Trade Centre (ICTC) and Chairman of the India China Technology Transfer Centre (ICTTC), held a meeting with Ms. Shweta Singh, Minister (T&C, Press & Visa), Embassy of India, Beijing, to discuss opportunities for strengthening India–China trade, investment, technology and industrial cooperation.
The meeting provided an important platform to discuss how institutional engagement can be further strengthened to support credible, structured and mutually beneficial business partnerships between Indian and Chinese enterprises.
During the meeting, Dr. Mishra highlighted ICTC’s work in facilitating business delegations, B2B engagements, technology partnerships, investment linkages, company visits and institutional collaborations between India and China. He also outlined the role of ICTTC in identifying and facilitating industry-to-industry cooperation in emerging and strategic technology sectors.
Discussions focused on priority sectors and emerging business opportunities, facilitating connections with credible Chinese enterprises, chambers, industry associations and technology institutions, and strengthening institutional support for future ICTC business delegations, B2B programmes and sector-specific initiatives.
An important area of discussion was also the need to further strengthen alternative dispute resolution (ADR) mechanisms, which can contribute to greater confidence and predictability for businesses engaged in India–China commercial partnerships.
Dr. Mishra also sought the Embassy’s guidance on strengthening ICTC’s sectoral focus and aligning its future programmes with broader priorities for India’s economic and commercial engagement with China.
The engagement reflects ICTC’s continued efforts to build a strong institutional ecosystem for India–China economic cooperation, with greater emphasis on practical business outcomes, technology partnerships, investment opportunities and sustainable industry-to-industry linkages.
ICTC looks forward to continued engagement with the Embassy of India in Beijing and to working towards creating credible, transparent and commercially viable opportunities for Indian and Chinese enterprises.
