ICTC–CCCME Strategic Partnership to Drive a New Era of India–China Trade, Investment & Technology Cooperation

Beijing, China | 27 August 2026

Dr. Vijay K. Mishra, Executive Vice Chairman of the India China Trade Centre (ICTC), visited the office of the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Machinery and Electronic Products (CCCME) in Beijing and held a strategic meeting with Mr. Guo Kuilong, Secretary General, CCCME.

The meeting marked an important step towards building a stronger institutional bridge between Indian and Chinese businesses, with a focus on converting bilateral economic opportunities into concrete trade, investment, technology and industrial partnerships.

The discussions explored reciprocal business delegations, sector-specific B2B engagements, market access, manufacturing partnerships, technology transfer, localisation, investment cooperation and participation in major business events and exhibitions.

Dr. Mishra highlighted ICTC’s extensive experience in facilitating business delegations, company-to-company engagements, technology partnerships, investment linkages and institutional cooperation between India and China. He emphasised the need for a more structured mechanism to connect enterprises from both countries and identify commercially viable opportunities.

A key focus of the proposed cooperation is to facilitate direct business linkages between Indian enterprises and Chinese machinery, electronics and technology companies, while supporting greater market understanding, technology collaboration and long-term industrial partnerships.

The two organisations also discussed establishing a regular institutional mechanism for exchanging business opportunities, member requirements, sector priorities and upcoming programmes, thereby creating a sustained channel for industry-to-industry engagement.

The strategic engagement between ICTC and CCCME has the potential to strengthen the business ecosystem connecting India and China, particularly in advanced manufacturing, machinery, electronics, industrial technology and emerging technology sectors.

ICTC looks forward to working closely with CCCME to translate this strategic engagement into new business partnerships, investment opportunities and technology collaborations, contributing to a stronger and more balanced India–China commercial relationship.
