ICTC has received yet another recognition, this time by the Linyi Municipal People’s Government by opening of New Chapter in Linyi City of Shandong Province on 08th of September 2015 in a grand ceremony attend by the top leaders of Standing Committee of Linyi Municipal People’s Congress including H. E. Mr. Zhang Shuping –Mayor, H. E. Mr. Xu Futian – Vice Chairman and Secretary of the CPC Linyi Economic and Technological Development Area working Committee in presence of 100 Foreign experts invited by the City.
Linyi Municipal People’s Government had, on this occasion, specially invited ICTC Executive Vice Chairman Mr. V. K. Mishra and Executive Director Mr. Amit Pandey for this grand opening of the ICTC Linyi Citi Chapter.
Mayor Zhang extended warm welcome to the delegation and gave a brief introduction of Linyi’s economic and social conditions. Zhang said, Linyi is a city with convenient traffic and rich resources, and is famous for its large population, advanced logistics and prosperous business, besides, its scenic and natural landscapes make Linyi be popular with visitors. In addition, Mayor Zhang expressed Linyi’s readiness for further collaboration with India in various fields. In 2014 the prefecture’s GDP was 369 billion RMB. Main industrial products are: textiles, foodstuffs, machinery, electronics, chemicals, building materials, coal, medicines, gold and porcelain.
Executive Vice Chairman Mishra has appreciated the economic and social development of Linyi City. Mishra said Linyi is full of natural beauty due to 8 rivers that cross this city and warm hospitality of its people that made him immediately feel at home. He assured that ICTC will make all efforts to promote the bilateral cooperation extensively between Linyi and India.
